Highways are full of horror with accidents prone to happen, either severe or not! Almost every active highway driver has faced some sort of incident which brings them to the edge of life. Observing The Incident In-Depth
On 13th June 2012, a Russian family was driving on the highway of Azov to Starominsky, near Yeysk in Rostov Region, Russia. After an 11-kilometer drive down the highway, the incident took place. In the car, Olga Gaikovich, a 29-year-old woman with her husband Vadmir, friends and daughter, was sitting.
With Olga sitting in the front passenger seat and her friend and daughter sitting in the back seats, her husband was driving. They all were driving in an Audi A4 whose windshield broke as the incident took place. Casually driving the car at the speed of 60 km, a truck passes Olga’s car, from the opposite lane.
Since the truck was going in the opposite direction to Olga’s car, the incident was so quick, there was no time to react. The Kamaz truck carrying bricks on the back passed an Audi A4, and some of its bricks came loose and fell from the truck. As the brick fell, it directly came towards the Audi A4 driving in opposite lanes in different directions.
In seconds, a brick falling from the truck broke the windshield of the car and hit Olga sitting on the front passenger seat. Hitting the temporal part of Olga, the brick became the reason for her ill-fated demise. The Russian brick incident was so quick and sudden that no one could have avoided it.

The incident was recorded on the dashcam of the car, and there was a viral five-minute video displaying the actual incident. Though the dashcam doesn’t catch anything gore on the camera, the audio of the videos is enough to realize the severity of the incident. As the brick hits Olga, the sudden screams from the car can put many into heart-wrenching grief.
With one man on the loss of a life partner and the other with a family member, the horrifying screams can put anyone in trauma. Often individuals after watching the dashcam footage even go through vicarious trauma which occurs upon witnessing someone’s suffering.
The video was originally available on Reddit, where many even stated it as one of the top non-gore shocking videos on the internet. With the driver gradually stopping the car to the side of the lane, there are screams that anyone can hear, showcasing how severely Olga was hit by the brick.
Aftermath Of The Accident
After the brick is seen flying inside the window hitting Olga’s head, the driver parks the car and calls for an ambulance. She was then taken to the hospital with an open head injury, which eventually resulted in her demise. After two hours of the incident, doctors were unable to save Olga’s life.
In the accident, she, unfortunately, lost her life, causing friends and family to face unbearable grief. Even leaving many on the internet with vicarious trauma, grief, and empathy towards her demise.
