Moving back to India after his degree in journalism from Portland, Oregon, Namik joined NDTV 24×7. After working as a journalist for a while, Namik resigned from the journalism job due to an irregular schedule. He later made a massive shift in his career and pursued acting as his next career choice.
Kicking off his acting career in 2015 with a show aired on Zee TV, Qubool Hai Paul portrayed the role of Ahsaan in the serial. Later in 2016, he starred in a show which brought a major breakthrough in his career, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. The show aired on Sony TV, in which Namik played the role of Shravan Malhotra.
Namik received a Gold Award for Debut in a Lead Role accolade after his performance in the show. The same year he did a hosting job with Loveleen Kaur Sasan for Befikre Belgium Ke. After this he was seen in a web series of Bindaas called The Trip from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, he again hosted another show, Aye Zindagi.
